And that awakening changes far more than the way a baby is born. It changes the way we live.

My life has been shaped by birth.

Not only becoming a mother, but the experience of birth itself

...crossing that threshold again and again and discovering that it was far more powerful than I'd ever been told.

Each birth peeled back another layer of conditioning. Each one brought me closer to that deep inner knowing and intuitive wisdom that so many of us have forgotten.

Throughout the years I have taken the role of mother, nutritionist, physiologist, midwife, birth keeper, doula, teacher, integrative educator, land owner, farmer, dance teacher, health coach, etc.

...but all of this prepared me for my true calling as a guide into and through… The Birth Initiation:
The Sacred Science of Sovereign Ecstatic Birth

When I got pregnant with my first I was deeply programmed with the idea that I needed to go into the hospital and that it was a medical event needing to be managed.

My first birth was terrifying. Excruciatingly painful.
Nobody taught me anything about my body, my birth, or my baby.
Despite studying human physiology at university and researching everything I could, I felt violated and traumatized. I had a healthy baby so I was told I was okay.

Everything shifted in my fourth birth.

It was the most painful of all. My midwife did not come, I was alone with my husband. In labor, I was desperate for someone to tell me what to do. 

My baby was stuck. I had been deep in my midwifery studies and was managing myself the way I had been taught ... but nothing was working.

After 17 hours of intense pain, I was reminded that I knew exactly what I needed. I knew where to go and how to move, the exact position to get into.


I stopped waiting to be rescued and I found my power.

That turned on a switch in me. I got up from my torture with so much power and birthed my baby in bliss in what felt like 5 minutes. My mind was blown.

For my fifth baby, I did not wait until labor pain to find that connection. I practiced that connection daily. I had the most magical birth under the stars just after sunset on my land here in Costa Rica.

For my sixth, I came back to that same intuitive power and knowing ... trusting my body, my baby, and life. But it was not just more of the same, that birth brought me much deeper into the initiation.

I had discovered within myself the secret to blissful, ecstatic birthing.

This process changed far more than the way I birthed. It changed the way I mother and my entire life.

When I approach life with presence and connection the way I learned through birth, its like I've unlocked something, life becomes magical and everything aligns and begins to flow.
This is what I call The Birth Initiation

Birth gives us an incredible opportunity into presence and the opportunity to transmute the suffering into bliss, something we simply cannot ignore. Some women think it's best to numb out or distract themselves from the experience but then they miss out on the most transformative ecstatic experience of their life.

What birth has taught me and how it has transformed my life has led me to where I am now.

Mother of six beautiful children, raising them on my land and food forest here in Costa Rica called Filí Forest.
Filí an ancient Celtic word for "one who sees."
This land is one that brings us into our deep knowing and remembering.

A place where women come to birth their babies in sovereign power. A place that returns us to our ancient wisdom and feminine power.

The vision for this land is to be a place where families, mothers, and children can grow up in that remembering.

A regenerative community and biodynamic food forest with family nests sprinkled throughout the land.

Dome structures that hold a womb-like feeling for holding families, community, and a sacred nest for women who want to birth outside the system in their sovereign power.

I am here to simply be open and allow the creation of it all.


Over the years I have had mentors, gurus, teachers, and advisors.

But birth itself has been my greatest teacher. The great initiation.What I share with women in my work as a birth keeper, physiologist, and mother is a combination of science and the sacred.I am here to walk alongside women as they remember what they have always known.
